Dispatches from the Other Side.
I've been sent from the professional sector to issue this generation's youngsters a warning. There's no reason to fear, long for, dread or over hype adulthood. It is not entirely starkly different from years preceding it. It's not more enjoyable, especially for those who've gone to college. College, I now understand being essentially a four year vacation.

I had a friend growing up who was always trying to be much more mature than the rest of us. He was very business oriented and wanted to be a mergers and acquisitions man in New York. Needless to say he's there now doing exactly that. But damned if there doesn't come a day when he'll look back and wish he was a little more childlike in his earlier days. It happens to all of us. I'm slightly regressing as we speak.

Lately I've taken a heightened interest in video games and comic books. I absolutely enjoy wearing jeans and a t-shirt. And I am generally uncouth as often as I can be. I'm not sure if this is in direct result to entering the 8-5 world or if it's just a natural resurgence of interest, but I am enjoying it. I just wonder if I would have enjoyed it more when I was a kid worrying about the future and avoiding these interests in an attempt to act more grown up.
